In più, il pubblico avrebbe riservato loro un’accoglienza glaciale e sarebbe restato completamente di sasso durante il concerto. Gancio sinistro! Il rispettabile agente dell’agenzia stampa Reuteurs spara un altro colpo in un comunicato: “Il concerto mancava di eccitazione, il bassista Georg Listing aveva i piedi nel cemento”. Appena prima di entrare in sala, ho anche incrociato un tipo che vendeva i biglietti al mercato nero a 2000 euro. E’ meschino! Il concerto è stato al top. Hanno cantato tutte le loro canzoni in inglese e le fan le conoscevano a memoria! Una fan mi ha detto che l’album non è ancora uscito ma che tutte conoscono già al loro musica grazie a internet… In breve: l’ambiente è stato davvero “hot” durante il concerto e il cantante non parlava malaccio durante le canzoni. Le fan erano sbalordite… e anch’io, per la pettinatura! PS: c’era il rapper Jay-Z in sala. Aveva l’aria di apprezzare le cosa. Le fan mi hanno detto che era impegnato a discutere con il chitarrista con i rasta dopo il concerto. Sembra che abbiano chiacchierato per diversi minuti e dopo sono andati tutti a cenare in un ristorante alla moda della città. Ecco, questo è tutto ciò che so. In ogni caso, grazie per il biglietto, è stata una figata!”. Contento per te, Phil! Bene, eccomi rassicurato. I critici sembrano non aver apprezzato troppo il gruppo, ma l’accoglienza del pubblico è stata un bel colpo. Alla fine, è quella che conta…

Il gruppo è a Parigi dalla veglia e, come sempre, le fan sono radunate davanti al loro hotel dove viene improvvisata una piccola sessione d’autografi. Per quanto mi concerne, sto sorridendo a 32 denti. In effetti, finalmente andrò a vedere il gruppo dal vivo in occasione del loro secondo concerto al Palais Omnisport di Bercy. Meglio ancora: giusto prima del concerto, Nicolas ed io avremo al possibilità di avere un incontro faccia a faccia con Bill, Tom, Georg and Gustav ... Grand! At 15 then, we go in front of the room. Ci siamo ricordati l’atmosfera che c’era al nostro debutto”. E il fatto di dover cantare tutto in inglese, vi mette a disagio? “Se fosse stato per me, avremmo cantato in tedesco” risponde molto seriamente Bill. “Ma so bene che se vogliamo penetrare negli Stati Uniti dobbiamo necessariamente cantare in inglese. Lo capisco e lo accetto. Ma ovviamente ciò che preferisco è la mia lingua natale…”. Giustamente. Stasera in che lingua sing? "In German" answered Tom suddenly. Dall’ultima volta che li ho visti in concerto (era l’ottobre 2007), il gruppo ha acquistato ancora più sicurezza ed energia. I pezzi rock sono ancora più rock e si bilanciano come non mai. L’emozione è stata ugualmente eccezionale nell’arrangiamento acustico che ha chiuso il concerto e durante il quale Tom ha accompagnato sobriamente Bill con la chitarra acustica. Sublime! Anche Gustav ha avuto diritto al suo quarto d’ora di gloria nel finale. Solo su palco, il timidone della band ha improvvisato un indiavolato assolo di batteria e ha lanciato una hola al pubblico, storica conclusione in bellezza di queste magnifiche ore. “A presto al Parc des Princes” Bill has advertised to the public a few minutes before. Se avevate acquistato un biglietto, inutile cambiarlo: potete tranquillamente usarlo per Parc des Princes il 21.

Bill ha la salute decisamente fragile! In effetti, dopo l’infiammazione alle corde vocali del cantante dei Tokio Hotel, il gruppo è stato costretto ad annullare parecchie date della sua tournée europea. Il concerto che il gruppo doveva tenere a Douai è stato annullato e non sarà rimandato a nessun altra data. Che è successo? Durante il concerto del gruppo a Marsiglia, il 14 marzo scorso, la voce di Bill è venuta less.
